Across the 16 head spa and scalp listings at 8 salons compared here, prices run from ₩44,000 to ₩366,000, and the two ends are not the same product. “Recommend a head spa” has five different right answers, depending on what you want from the hour. Five kinds of visit
1. The one from the video. You want the reclining spa bed, the steam, the named multi-step ritual and the before-and-after scalp photo. Look for: a programme name with a step count or “signature”, a duration of 60–90 minutes, and a price in the ₩180,000–₩350,000 band. Trade-off: rooms are few, so book ahead, and the step count is marketing, not a standard. Eight of the sixteen listings here are this kind. Named examples with published prices start at Parkjun BeautyLAB Seongsu Perfume, whose 15-Step Signature Head Spa is ₩180,000 and 18-Step Premium Head Spa ₩250,000, open 10:00–22:00 seven days. Juno SEOUL’s two Hannam-dong programmes are HEAD SPA Healing at ₩200,000 and HEAD SPA Signature at ₩220,000. They are the only two listings in the whole set that publish both a step count and a duration: 15 steps in 60 minutes, and 18 steps in 90. CELLPA by Cheongdam has four programmes, ₩180,000 for 60 minutes, ₩290,000 for 70 and ₩310,000 and ₩350,000 for 90. Eco Jardin, the salon English-language videos most often name, is not one of the 137 stores listed on K-Beauty Station. It is booked directly through its own branches.
2. Scalp health, with a diagnosis. You have an oily, flaky or thinning scalp and want it looked at, not just massaged. Look for: “scalp analysis” or “diagnosis” in the listing, a therapist who explains the microscope image, and a product recommendation you can decline. Two listings lead with care rather than ritual, and both sit inside the same band as kind 1. They are BY SEOUL’s Hair & Scalp Care at ₩190,000 and JUNO HAIR Myeongdong’s Scalp Conditioning at ₩220,000. Trade-off: this is still non-medical care. If you suspect a condition, see a clinic — and a clinic listing looks nothing like these. GU Clinic Gangnam Branch in Seocho-gu, for instance, publishes eight listings from ₩29,000 to ₩1,990,000, all of them skin and lifting procedures and not one a scalp treatment. It runs 10:30–21:00 on weekdays and 10:30–19:00 at weekends and on public holidays, and it closes no day of the year. Where the line falls: medical versus non-medical scalp venues.
3. A salon visit with the treatment added. You want a good scalp treatment inside a salon visit, with a stylist who talks to you. Look for a head spa priced together with a cut or make-up. HOSU DOSAN lists Head Spa & Cut at ₩140,000 and Head Spa & Make-up at ₩200,000, and JUNG SAEM MOOL INSPIRATION West lists the same two pairings at ₩363,000 and ₩366,000. That is four of the sixteen, and the widest price spread of any kind here. Trade-off: styling chair rather than spa bed, shorter treatment. Both of these salons also close earliest in the set, HOSU DOSAN at 18:00 and JUNG SAEM MOOL at 18:30.
4. Quiet and private. You want a private room, dim light and no conversation; you may need gender-separated space or to keep a hijab on until the door closes. Do not look for it on the listing. None of the 16 states whether the room is private, and the “Private” badge on some product pages is a listing-visibility flag rather than a room. The ₩80,000 HOSU DOSAN listing, the second-cheapest in the set, carries it. This kind has no listings of its own below. It is a question you put to kinds 1, 2 and 3 in the store’s messenger, alongside the gender-rules question, in the same message. Trade-off: the spa-bed programmes most likely to have a room of their own are also the top of the price band, ₩180,000–₩350,000.
5. A short stop between shops. You have an hour between other plans. Look for: a hair salon’s scalp treatment. Only two of the sixteen listings are priced for this, and both are in Gangnam-gu. Gungseochae Seolleung Station is ₩44,000, open 10:00–20:00 seven days; HOSU DOSAN is ₩80,000 and closed Monday and Tuesday. Every listing under ₩180,000 in this set is in Gangnam-gu. The cheapest head spa anywhere north of the Han here is ₩180,000, at Parkjun BeautyLAB Seongsu Perfume in Jayang-dong, and inside Jung-gu it is ₩190,000. Also look for same-day availability and drying included so you can walk out. Trade-off: this is a scalp treatment in a chair, not the ritual in kind 1, and it should not be priced like one.

Ten of the sixteen listings are in Gangnam-gu — and so is every listing under ₩180,000, while Jung-gu holds two, Yongsan-gu two and Gwangjin-gu two. Geography is doing a lot of the pricing, not treatment.
Two of the eight salons are named after a neighbourhood they are not in. Parkjun BeautyLAB Seongsu Perfume is in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, by Konkuk University Station; CELLPA by Cheongdam is in Sinsa-dong. Planning the walk? Read the address, not the sign.
Kind 5 stops at ₩80,000 and kind 1 does not start until ₩180,000. Nothing at all is listed between ₩80,000 and ₩140,000, and the ₩140,000 that ends that gap is a kind 3 bundle rather than a programme. At the top the kinds no longer separate: CELLPA’s ₩350,000 spa-bed programme sits ₩13,000 below JUNG SAEM MOOL’s cheaper bundle.

What the listing publishes, and what it doesn’t
The single most useful thing to know before you compare head spas in Seoul is how little the listings commit to. Here is the whole set, counted.

Comparing “15-step” against “60 minutes” is comparing labels, not treatments. Parkjun publishes steps and no minutes, CELLPA minutes and no steps, and only Juno SEOUL’s two programmes let you see both at once — both of them at one salon. That is no conversion rate for the other fourteen. Compare inside a salon rather than across them.
On language, the listings are quieter than they look. One salon out of the eight names a language, and only on its product pages. HOSU DOSAN’s three head spa listings each end “English consultation available”, and its Women’s Cut page ends “English OK”. No store page in the set names a language at all, and no other salon’s listing does either. That is not the same as no English; it means the listing will not answer the question for you. Every store page does publish its messenger channels, so ask there, in writing, before you book. Kind 3 in detail: what the add-on costs
Kind 3 is the only one of the five where the published prices let you calculate something, because two salons publish both the bundle and its parts.

HOSU DOSAN also publishes its cuts on their own, which makes the arithmetic checkable rather than guessed at: Men’s Cut ₩60,000 and Women’s Cut ₩70,000. So the bundle prices the cut at exactly its standalone men’s rate, and ₩10,000 below the women’s rate. What you mainly buy is one appointment instead of two, and one wash instead of two. A head spa leaves your hair wet and freshly conditioned, which is the state a stylist wants it in anyway.
JUNG SAEM MOOL answers the opposite way. Its two bundles are ₩3,000 apart, and because no standalone head spa appears on its page, the add-on cannot be separated at all. Its two standalone listings are Hair Cut and shampoo & styling, both ₩88,000; the other eight listings on that page are pairs. Subtracting the cut from the bundle would imply a head spa of roughly ₩275,000, above every published spa-only price here except CELLPA’s top three, ₩290,000, ₩310,000 and ₩350,000. But that is an inference from two published numbers rather than a published figure, so read it as an upper bound rather than a price.
So there is no category-wide rule for the bundle. At one salon swapping the cut for make-up doubles the add-on; at the other it changes almost nothing. Price the bundle at the specific salon you are considering. If you are booking the two separately instead, book the spa before the cut, not after — otherwise you pay for a finish the wash removes.
Where each kind is, and when it is open
The five kinds are not spread evenly across the city, and the hours vary more than the prices do.

Seven of the eight salons close no day of the year. The exception is the one this page leans on hardest. HOSU DOSAN holds the only bundle whose add-on can be priced, and the second-cheapest head spa in the set, and it is shut Monday and Tuesday. If your trip is short and front-loaded, kind 3 costs ₩363,000 at JUNG SAEM MOOL instead of ₩140,000, and kind 5 means Gungseochae or nothing. After 20:00 the cheap kinds are gone. Gungseochae shuts at 20:00, JUNG SAEM MOOL at 18:30 and HOSU DOSAN at 18:00. An evening appointment therefore means kind 1 or kind 2: Juno SEOUL and JUNO HAIR Myeongdong to 21:00, CELLPA and Parkjun to 22:00, and BY SEOUL to 23:59. Before 09:30 there is exactly one option in the whole set. BY SEOUL opens at 06:00, three and a half hours before anyone else, and is open about 126 hours a week against HOSU DOSAN’s 42.5.
By area: kind 1 sits in Hannam-dong, in Sinsa-dong and at Parkjun BeautyLAB in Jayang-dong. Kind 4 has no listings in any district, which is the point of it. Kind 3 is Gangnam-gu only, in Nonhyeon-dong and Cheongdam-dong. Kind 5 is Gangnam-gu only too, which is why an hour in central Jung-gu costs ₩190,000 rather than ₩44,000. Kind 2 is the Jung-gu pair, at the large salons that open early and close late. None of the 16 states whether the room is private, so the quiet-room want is a question you ask rather than a category you can filter.
Are the multi-step programmes worth four times the price of the cheapest salon scalp treatment?
They are a different product: a spa bed, 60–90 minutes, and a room of your own or nearly. The cheapest of the 16 listings here is ₩44,000 at Gungseochae Seolleung Station and the spa-bed band starts at ₩180,000, so the multiple is about four. The choice is between wanting the full ritual and wanting an hour of scalp care between other plans — not between step counts.
