The seven skin clinics in Gangnam at a glance
A note on terms first. In English-language searches “skin clinic” and “dermatology clinic” are used for the same kind of place, and this guide uses them interchangeably. Note that in Korea the word 피부과 (pibugwa, dermatology) in a clinic’s registered name is reserved for clinics run by board-certified dermatologists; the seven clinics below are not all registered that way — Heer, Nine and PHD carry 피부과 in their Korean names; GU Clinic, Seye Clinic, V&MJ and Toxnfill are registered as general medical clinics (의원) offering skin procedures — and this guide does not verify the specialty of each clinic’s doctors. All seven are skin clinics in the Gangnam area of Seoul (Gangnam-gu and the adjoining Seocho-gu side of Gangnam Station) that offer the treatments compared here.

What the table shows immediately
- Three of the seven document neither procedure at all. This is the most useful column and the easiest to misread, so it is worth separating.

A low percentage is not evidence of an older device. V&MJ Dermatology publishes 23 ultherapy pages, more than GU Clinic Gangnam Branch’s 15 — it simply does not distinguish generations in its page structure. What a low share tells you is that the website will not answer the question, so you have to.

- Ask before treatment, not after. Whether a sticker will be provided is something to settle at consultation. Once the procedure is done, the decision is behind you

The English counts are close to the Korean ones but not identical, so the two are worth keeping apart. In English, GU Clinic Gangnam Branch has 15 ultherapy pages and 11 on thermage; Seye Clinic has 27 and 22. On the Korean site — the figures in the table above — the thermage counts are 12 and 21 instead. The ranking is the same either way; only the thermage totals move by one.

1. Page counts are not skill
We counted what each clinic publishes and how specific it is. That is a measure of documentation, not of results. A clinic with no website content may be excellent; you simply cannot check anything about it in advance, which for a visitor is a practical cost rather than a quality signal.
2. This is not a ranking
There is no judgement of quality here. We compared verifiable published facts and stopped. We did not use patient reviews, before-and-after photographs, prices or assessments of doctors, and none appear above.
3. Seven is not every clinic in Gangnam
We checked seven. Gangnam has many more. Absence from this list means we did not check it.
4. A sitemap is not the whole website
⚠️ “No pages” is not the same as “does not offer it.” We opened the actual pages on all four sites and found ultherapy and thermage listed in the site-wide treatment menu on effectively every page — 200 of 200 sampled pages at Nine Dermatology Gangnam Branch, 197 of 200 at Toxnfill Gangnam, all 85 at PHD Dermatology Apgujeong and all 15 at Heer Dermatology Clinic (checked 13 August 2026).
All four perform these treatments. What they lack is a page dedicated to each one. Our counting method favours clinics that build one URL per treatment, so a zero here means no dedicated page found, not no such treatment. Ask at consultation and it resolves in one question.
We read the sitemap each clinic declares in its robots.txt. Pages that exist but are not listed there will not appear in our counts. The zeros mean not found by this method, which is a narrower claim than does not exist.

Which Gangnam clinics actually name the device generation they use?
Fewer than you would expect. On ultherapy, GU Clinic Gangnam Branch names Ultherapy Prime on 9 of its 15 ultherapy pages (60.0%), Seye Clinic on 14 of 27 (51.9%) and V&MJ Dermatology on 1 of 23 (4.3%). On thermage, Seye Clinic names Thermage FLX on 13 of 21 pages (61.9%), GU Clinic Gangnam Branch on 1 of 12 (8.3%) and V&MJ Dermatology on 1 of 16 (6.2%). A low share does not mean the clinic lacks the newer device. It means you cannot tell from the website, so you have to ask.
